A woman is in Menopause when she has not had a menstrual period for 12 months. However, perimenopausal symptoms begin several years before that even as early as the mid-30s, when the reproductive organs begin to produce less estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. For most women, the perimenopause phase begins in their mid-40s, and menopause hits at age 50-55.
Menopausal symptoms can be treated with Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement (BHRT) which provides amazing results and helps to improve most if not all of the postmenopausal symptoms.
